Winter Tips and Tricks for your Vehicle
- If your windows steam up on the inside, keep a chalk board eraser inside your vehicle and use it to wipe the moisture off the inside of your windows.
- You also can fill a sock with kitty litter and place it on your dashboard. This will help absorb water to keep your windows from fogging up!
- Keep extra socks in your car! You can put these OVER your shoes to help give you added traction is case you need to push your car or walk in the snow and ice.
- Do your wipers have a tendency to stick to the windows? Get a cloth or a sock and pour rubbing alcohol on it. Wipe this on your wipers. This will stop them from freezing to the windows.
- Doors freeze shut in the cold? Spray cooking spray on the door cracks and rubber. This will prevent them from sticking in the cold.
- If you do not have heated mirrors, place a sandwich bag over your side mirrors. When you are ready to roll out, pull them off! No more icy, frozen mirrors.
- Keep kitty litter in your trunk! Not only will the weight on your back tires help you if you are stuck, you can also spread some under the tires for extra traction!
