Tips to a great Drivers License Photo

Tips for a Great Drivers License Photo

It's your Birthday! Congrats, now it is time to renew your tag and your license!
Taking a great picture is tough. Here are some pointers on how to take the best photo for your new drivers license!

1.  Avoid make up that has a shimmer to it.
2.  Frame your face with your longer hair.  Don't just put the hair on one side.
3.  Avoid all white or all black.
4.  Smile! It is not a mugshot.
5.  Don't look at the camera until you are ready.

Car Cleaning Hacks Part 2

Car Cleaning Hacks Part 2

We spend a large amount of time in our vehicles.  We use our car in the drive to and from work,
running our kids back and forth to their activities and day to day errands.
We track all kinds of dirt and debris into our vehicles.
Getting a full detail can be rather expensive.  Here are a few cleaning hacks that work to help get your vehicle back tidy and neat!

1.  Clean up the Cup Holders

Soak an old sock in all purpose cleaner. Once it is soaked then put it in the
cup holder and twist! Simple as that!

2.  Clean the floor mats

All weather mats can be cleaned with dawn dish soap and water.  Fabric covered
mats can be washed in front load washing machine on gentle cycle.

3.  Clean vinyl and leather seats

You can use a wet Magic Eraser to scrub soiled spots.  Then mix 1/4 cup of olive oil
and 1/4 cup of white vinegar and rub into leather seats.  This will condition the seats and
disinfect as well. Bye Bye Germs!

4.  Make your rims and tires sparkle!

Dirt, grass, bugs and debris can take a drastic toll on your rims and tires.
Use 1/2 cup baking soda and a tablespoon of Dawn! Scrub and rinse!

New Year's Resolutions

New Year's Resolutions

New Year's Resolutions date back some 4,000 years ago to the ancient Babylonian's.
The Babylonian's would make promises in order to earn the favor of god's.  They would make promises to start the new year off on the good foot.  They promised to repay debt and to return things that they borrowed and never returned during the year.

Today some of the most popular resolutions include:
-loose weight
-eat better
-go to the gym
-improve finances
-start a business
-get a better job
-make new friends
-pray more
-spend less time on social media

Many resolutions fail because people tend to set unrealistic goals.  They do not track progress.  People tend to become frustrated and just forget about them.

If you plan on making a resolution keep it simple, make it something you know that you can accomplish and keep track of your results.

Happy New Year from Your Friends at Rankl & Ries Motorcars!
